The result of 13 research projects at the Federal University of Minas Gerais - UFMG -, the Documentary City and Alterity: multicultural coexistence and rural-urban justice proposes multiple discussions about the right to the city.
Produced during 2015 and 2016, and finished in 2017, the documentary deals with a cartography from the audiovisual. It was recorded in four regions of Minas Gerais – North, South, West and Metropolitan – covering the following: Belo Horizonte, Contagem, São João da Ponte, Iguatama, Alpinópolis, Cachoeira do Campo (Outro Preto district), Serra do Cipó and Conceição. do Mato Inside.
The themes recorded in the documentary permeate several subjects, such as settlements and urban resettlements; urban occupations; taggers and graffiti artists; traditional peoples and communities; environmental conservation and traditional peoples; sustainable rural development councils; mining; street workers and homeless people.
The documentary "City and Otherness: Multicultural Coexistence and Rural-Urban Justice," a result of 13 research projects at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG), proposes multiple discussions on the right to the city. Produced between 2015 and 2016 and finalized in 2017, the documentary uses audiovisual cartography. It was filmed in four regions of Minas Gerais – North, South, West, and Metropolitan – encompassing the following: Belo Horizonte, Contagem, São João da Ponte, Iguatama, Alpinópolis, Cachoeira do Campo (district of Ouro Preto), Serra do Cipó, and Conceição do Mato Dentro. The themes explored in the documentary cover diverse topics such as urban settlements and resettlements; urban occupations; graffiti artists; traditional peoples and communities; environmental conservation and traditional peoples; sustainable rural development councils; mining; street workers and people experiencing homelessness.

The Mandacaru Award – Innovative Projects and Practices in Access to Water and Coexistence with the Semiarid Region aims to promote the production of knowledge and the development of innovative and successful actions in favor of solidary and sustainable coexistence with the Brazilian Semiarid region.
Cisterns Cooperation Program BRA-007B
The Cisternas BRA-007-B Program finances, supports and encourages the construction of social technologies to capture rainwater in the semi-arid region and in other Brazilian rural regions without access to the public supply network and finances institutional strengthening actions of local entities that develop water access projects.

Between June 18th and July 17th, from 9 am to 7 pm, Casa do Baile hosted the event.
Co-architecture – temporary installations, project exhibitions, lectures, and workshops.
On site, there are two installations: DERIVA and SOMA, in addition to an exhibition of projects resulting from an academic experience at the School of Architecture of UFMG, which addressed the theme of Temporary Architectural Intervention at Casa do Baile.
